I have a number of guinea pigs, male and female, that are ready for new homes. They range in age from 8 months to 4 years, and are bonded, having been raised together. If you are interested or wanted to see them better, please message to arrange a visit to see the guinea pigs. Guinea pigs cannot be reserved. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Guinea pigs make wonderful pets especially for children. All guinea pigs for sale are handled regularly and will thus make good pets. The more guinea pigs are handled, the more comfortable they become with their owners. Guinea pigs are social animals, and so must be kept in pairs at least. No matter how attentive the pet owner, a human cannot substitute for a guinea pig companion. Guinea pigs will not be sold where they will be kept on their own.
Like all pets, guinea pigs require responsible owners. Make sure to do research on how to care for guinea pigs before you make a decision to buy – there are numerous excellent websites and I am happy to recommend some if you have difficulty finding any. In addition, please do not be offended when I ask you questions to find out what you know about keeping guinea pigs when you visit – I am simply want to ensure both for your sake and the animals sake that you are aware of what owning a guinea pig involves.
Guinea pigs cannot be kept with rabbits. They eat different food, and are often bullied by rabbits. A guinea pig living with a rabbit will not only become unhealthy but can be very miserable. Guinea pigs will not be sold where they will be kept with rabbits.
Keeping an animal is a big responsibility. No animals will be sold to anyone who does not plan to take good care of them. Please ask lots of questions both before and after buying to ensure that you are caring for your guinea pigs properly. Guinea pigs need foods that contain Vitamin C because, like humans, they cannot manufacture their own Vitamin C. Broccoli, spinach, asparagus, parsley, and kale are all excellent sources of Vitamin C. No guinea pigs will be sold to anyone not accompanied by a person who is 18 and over. If you are interested in owning guinea pigs, you are welcome to visit to see them. Please text or email to arrange to visit to see them.
Please note that I do not reserve guinea pigs for sale. All sales are on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.
