I breed rare, pure Shetland Fowl Poultry and I have a TRIO available to good, clean, knowledgable homes. Shetlands are originally from the Shetland Islands and the hens lay a medium sized, Olive Green Egg. They are correct in all colours but the majority of mine are solid black or black with gold/silver hackle feathers. They are generally very hardy and long lived and the cockerels are usually good natured and easy to handle. I do not breed from males with difficult temperaments. The TRIO I have for sale all have the preferred 'tappit' (crest of head feathers). I also have one or two spare young cockerels available to add to a resident flock. As the males carry the dominant green egg gene, almost all hen chicks they produce will lay a blue/green egg (depending in the breed of hen they live with). If you have any questions about this lovely and interesting breed, please do not hesitate to contact me. * HENS NOW IN LAY*
