A great character that it brings me great sadness to look into refining but unfortunately relationship breakup forces my hand.

Kobie is genuinely a great addition to any flock his unique upbringing in a pet shop being socialised and well trained makes this even harder. He is a big boy and knows it with typical Scarlett standoffishness. He tolerates men and will do all of his tricks for a treat for a man but he much prefers a female care provider. He was previously owned by 2 women and came to me with my male partner so not ideal for him but we made great progress and he fit right in. He dosnt like doing anything he dosnt want too but at the same time a treat or asking him to do one of his many tricks to distract the bad behaviour. He gets on great with the other members of my current flock (umbrella cockatoo and ringneck) but my female B&G is standoffish with him so they haven’t really interacted.

He has previously been happy and comfortable in a harness with his previous female owner and I fully believe he will get there again with a strong bond. He needs a confident and experienced female care provider ideally as the only bird or with smaller flock members or flock members that are used to big macaws. He eats like a champ and loves chop and fruit days. He will do anything for a pine nut and walnut.

I won’t be selling him to just anyone and it’s important I get to know you I took him on with every intention of this being his forever home and I’m embarrassed I need to rehome him. I live in central Bristol and I’d like to allow some visits to see and meet him before committing and I will be asking questions. I’m advertising him for £1500 which is a lot less than he’s worth but these aren’t cheap animals to keep and look after.
