Bantams for sale are a popular choice for keeping chickens because they are small and have a distinctive appearance. These sorts of bird have near enough the same diet as regular hens do, but you should know what is best to feed them for the best care. If you are looking to buy chickens like these, see the following guide on feeding them.

    • Feed bantams whole grains. This should be available in their cage at all times. There are many types of feed for sale, but you should stick to those with whole grains.

    • Keeping chickens also requires you to provide supplements in the form of fresh greens. This includes grass, weeds and fresh vegetables. A great way of making sure your bantams are being fed with these greens is to let them forage in a fenced off grassy area outside.

    • Be sure to provide bantams for sale with a good amount of protein. This can be found in insects during the summer. In the winter you they can find protein in worms, soy, fish, meat and milk.
