    The zebra finch is a bird that likes to graze on the plant life in surrounding areas. However, there are some plants that could be toxic to these pet birds and are harmful to their health. If you are considering these finches for sale, take a look at the following guide for details on what types of plant are non-toxic and totally safe for your zebra finches to enjoy.

     

    Flowers

    The zebra finch can enjoy the taste and colour of flowers in their home.

    • Purples flowers to include could be the African violet, petunias or thistle.
    • Marigolds are safe if you are after a yellow or orange colour.
    • For white, use gardenias.
    • For cheaper options, dig up dandelions from your back garden.

     

    Fruit

    Fruit plants and trees are great for these pet birds, as well as for you to enjoy! As well as this, it provides lots of colour for the bird to admire. Crab apple trees are perfect for zebra finches as they have stunning flowers as well as fruit.
