Cockatiel for Sale – Cockatiel Cage Care

The best way to begin good cockatiel care is to provide your cockatiel with surroundings which he really likes and appreciates. The bird’s cage should be kept tidy and clean. Newspaper is good to cover the base of the cage because you can take it out and replace it when it comes to cleaning.

It is your responsibility to regularly clean the cockatiel cage and the accessories inside. Finding a good location for the cage is also important. Where the cage is situated should be quiet and cosy. Odd noises and drafts can cause birds a lot of stress so it is best to keep the cage in a place where the cockatiels will not be disturbed.

An important part of cockatiel bird care is to provide physical and mental exercise for your bird. Cockatiels are intelligent and should not be left inside the cage for lengthy periods of time. Allow your bird to have a free fly around the room if you can.
