Visit York For Owls This Summer
Head to York this summer if you want to see a striking display of birds of prey. Owl Adventures Ltd, a North Yorkshire-based falconry company, is allowing members of the public to touch, handle and be photographed with a variety of owls from across the globe in St. Mary’s Square in the city. The event will last until October. A spokesperson from Owl Adventures said that attendees will of course be able to ask questions about the birds and acquire knowledge about birds of prey and their lifestyles. The falconer will also introduce the birds and provide guidance on their handling techniques.
The selection includes a ten-year-old little owl called Gizmo, a young barn owl called Sky and a European eagle owl called Henrietta.
