A tame barn owl has been found at a football stadium in West Lothian.

The bird was found sitting in a plant pot at Livingston Football Club's Almondvale Stadium on Sunday at 18:30.

The Scottish SPCA rescued the bird and is now calling on its owner to pick it up from a centre at Fishcross near Alloa.

The animal welfare charity said the owl had been a captive bird as it has a ring attached to its leg and it is happy to be handled.
