The legislative body of the US state of New Hampshire has finally passed a bill to allow the possession and sale of quaker parrots in the state – after a little-known rule was enforced by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, whereby quaker parrots were considered illegal in the state. Their illegal status was due to the fact that many quaker parrots build nests on power converters and can also become crop pests – this resulted in various New Hampshire parrot owners being ordered to remove their quaker from the state. However thanks to the new legislation, quaker parrots owners can breathe easy.
