    Parrots and Passerines Close Relatives

    A new scientific study has shown that parrots and songbirds or passerines are each other’s closest relatives. The study undertaken by scientists from Germany proves that vocal learning abilities appeared in this group of birds 30 million years earlier than originally assumed.
