A rare Amazon parrot has been found two months after going missing in Wirral

Jerry and Irene Williams from Prenton have been left amazed after finding their rare Bluefronted Amazon parrot Jack at Chester Zoo, after he went missing two months previously. He had gone missing and his distraught owners had spent two months searching for him, placing posters and advertisements for him everywhere to no avail. Eventually workers at Chester Zoo found him perched outside the tropical bird house and recognised that he didn't belong there. Workers say Jack was probably attracted to the bird house by the noise. Workers enticed him down from his hiding place with a grape, which parrots cannot resist. To say thankyou for Jack's return, Mr and Mrs Williams have made a donation to the zoo.
