A 60-year old albatross known to be the USA's oldest bird is spotted with live young

The oldest bird in the United States of America has been spotted raising a chick, also making it the oldest known bird to raise young. The bird in question is a 60 year old Laysan albatross called Wisdom. Albatrosses usually breed at around 9 or 10 years of age so the fact that Wisdom has bred recently is very odd and unusual. According to scientists Wisdom has probably raised around 30-35 chicks in her lifespan. Albatrosses usually just lay one egg a year. They also mate for life but scientists don’t know whether or not Wisdom has had the same partner for most of her breeding life.
