A bird of prey is spotted in a very unlikely place...Hackney!

During the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch last month, a rare kestrel was spotted in the most unlikely of places...the inner London borough of Hackney, not usually known as a wildlife haven! The kestrel was seen in Lebank Square during an hour-long birdwatching session. RSPB's communications manager in London, Tim Webb, says that finding a kestrel in the inner city is very unusual...but could make for a boring birdwatch afterwards, as the presence of such a bird of prey usually sends other birds diving for cover.
