    Goshawk In The Chicken Coop

A farmer in South Wales was given a shock when he went to investigate the source of a disturbance coming from his chicken coop, expecting to find a fox – but ended up face to face with a huge goshawk amongst the chickens.  With a wingspan of up to 3.6ft and a dive that can top 200mph, a goshawk would normally be found soaring high over the beautiful Welsh countryside. But farmer Roy Peckham was stunned after finding one of the majestic birds of prey struggling to escape from his chicken coop. Despite its size and fearsome looking talons and beak, Roy casually and carefully picked it up before capturing the moment on camera and releasing the bird back into the wild.
