    Fish Eat Birds... What?

Catfish have been monitored due to their preying on pigeons. Yes, not the pigeons preying on the fish.

These fresh water fish will prey on the birds that are close to the waters edge. Once they have caught one they will drag it under water and consume it. It is unknown why they are resorting to pigeons for food, however theres a theory that it is because they are running low on sources of their original food.

The behavior of the catfish when hunting pigeons study, published on 5th December, states that: 'Amoung a total of 45 beaching behaviours observed and filmed, 28% were successful in bird capture.'
