Carlisle business owners say seagulls have become a menacing presence
Local firms in the Kingstown area of the town and Carlisle City Council are asking people to take care with rubbish and litter so the number of seagulls decrease.
According to BBC, Ian Lawson, whose business is based in Park Hill Road says that some mornings there are more than 150 seagulls around the trading state.
"It's an absolute shambles," he said, quoted by BBC.
"It's a serious problem. The pavements are covered in gull muck, my lads were working in the back lane and they were covered in it."
