    Bono's Peahen Gets Into Bother

Irish police have thrown up their hands in despair at the antics of the wandering peahen belonging to U2 frontman Bono, 51. When his nextdoor neighbour telephoned the police to let them know about the wandering peahen – a female peacock – they replied that she could do whatever she wanted with it, as far too many manhours had already gone into Bono’s peacock. Various neighbours have also reported having the peacock in their gardens and one even said it entered their house and “left a lovely message”. Bono, is believed to have been given a pair of the birds as a present. The female Peahens are less spectacular looking than the male peacocks with their large, colourful feathers.

The bird is believed to have escaped from the Irish celebrity’s sprawling mansion, in the ultra-exclusive sea-side town which he shares with his family.
