    Birds of Prey Nest Early

The RSPB says that birds of prey are nesting early across the country. The early arrivals of ospreys, peregrine falcons and goshawks to their nests in locations ranging from city cathedrals to Scottish lochs, is said to be completely unexpected. In Manchester, two peregrine falcons have already nested and produced eggs on a skyscraper, and the images can be followed via a camera that has been placed there. The images will even be streamed live onto a big screen in the city centre so that shoppers may follow the chicks’ progress. Meanwhile, peregrine falcons have already nested at Chichester Cathedral and at a clock tower in Cardiff. Two ospreys have nested in the Lake District and a pair of goshawks have laid eggs in the New Forest. To find out more, head to the RSPB’s website here.
