Birds of Prey Illegally Stuffed
Police in Lancashire have seized five stuffed birds of prey as part of a crackdown against illegal taxidermy. The birds in question were two tawny owls, a buzzard, a goshawk and a barn owl. Stuffed birds of prey need a license to be sold legally. Police said that taxidermy rules are in place to protect vulnerable birds such as rare birds of prey. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs can give more information about illegal taxidermy and how to protect birds of prey from it.
