100s of Dead Pigeons Found In River
Clyde Coastguard in Greenock, Scotland, was alerted to the discovery of over 100 dead pigeons floating in the River Clyde yesterday. The alert was raised just after 8am yesterday morning when someone saw the dead pigeons in the water off the Inverkip Power Station jetty. During investigations a member of the public confirmed that they had thrown a number of black bags containing dead pigeons into the water. A spokesperson for the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency confirmed that they were aware of the incident but it is unknown how the pigeons died, what the person’s motive was or whether any charges will be pressed.
