Some quick and easy presents to get together for your bird. Each gift would be great for your  bird. Some are more affordable than others however each is as special as the next. All these gifts mentioned are to maximise the comfort and happiness of your bird.

    1. Treats

Although this is not a known fact, to give your bird a good balanced diet, seeds are actually a very small part of it. However they are great as a treat and birds love them.

    2. Cage

Upgrade your bird cage. Get a bigger cage to give your bird more space. This will allow them to be more active and feel freer as there will be more room to do so. Some cages come with accessories and others are fairly plain. For a less expensive option, you can make the whole cage yourself, or buy a plain cage and make your own accessories for it. When choosing a cage, make sure to take your birds size into consideration.

    3. Perch

A perch is great for a bird to stand on because it in similar to objects they would be standing on in the wild. Having a wooden perch creates a more natural environment. Make sure when purchasing a perch, it is the right size and thickness for the size of your bird. Ensure it is a good and safe wood so your bird does not get hurt when using the perch.

    4. Toys

Colourful toys of different shapes and textures can stimulate your bird. If you are out of your house for long periods of time, giving your bird toys will keep them occupied which is important; especially with parrots that you would normally talk to. Toys will also help them to be more active which is important when they are in a cage.

    5. Fly with me

A ‘flight suit’ is a way for your bird to come with you and have more freedom. They can fly in the outdoors air or hop along beside you as you will have complete control. The jacket is connected to a lead so although it is still restrictive, they will get much more freedom than staying in a cage.
