    Some ideas for those bird lover friends of yours - there's something for everyone.

     

    1. Jewellery

    There are some beautiful bird pendants available for necklaces and bracelets or in the earring form. Owls are a very popular bird in this context. Jewellery is a lovely gift which is more personal for perhaps a friend or family member. 

     

    2. Ornaments

    Collectable ornaments, or even just a couple here or there, are perfect to decorate an empty surface. Any species of bird or style of ornament you wish can make a great dainty present for a friend who has a love for birds.

     

    3. Bird table/house

    There are variety of houses and tables you can pick out of in these categories. You could even construct your own to give as a gift. Designs and patterns are available for every bird lover’s garden with the hope to attract more birds to their house daily. This call for more bird watching and seeds!

     

    4. Books

    ‘How to’ books are great, as are bird identification books. If the person you are buying for has a love for bird watching, then being able to indentify the bird with a book to hand will take that to the next level.  There are bird books of a range of things from giving information about different species to fiction books.

     

    5. Binoculars

    Binoculars have developed a lot in the last few years and they are still continuing to. Get a great present this year of a pair of new high tech binoculars. The resolution has increased greatly and now some even come with cameras. Binoculars can be expensive but they will be a memorable present that can be used for years.

     

    6. Tea set

    A beautiful china, bird imprinted tea set with matching cups, saucers and tea pot, is a beautiful and life long gift. This is a great present that can be personalised if wanted. There are a range of different ways to go with this and that is up to you and who you are buying the present for. 

     

    7. Tea light house

    In the form of a bird house, you can get a tea light house for your home. Candles are always a great accessory to the Christmas scene and help to make the setting more festive. You can get many tea lighter holders, some very plain and others more elaborate. This again varies although it would be towards the more elaborate side so can make a great focus point of the decorations.

     

    8. Water bath

    A beautiful water bath for your garden can look great as an accessory but will also attract more birds to your garden, especially during the summer. This is a great feature and as with the bird tables and houses, come in variety of styles.

     

    9. Calendar

    Get a calendar for the next year. We’ve all seen those calendars with the beautiful scenery accessories with birds filling page after page for each month. This could be a possible present for both an adult and a child. There are many places to purchase this style of calendar. It is an inexpensive present, and fun and thoughtful. 

     

    10. Bird songs

    If you love birds, you will most likely love the music they make. A CD of bird songs therefore is a great idea for a present. A simple but thoughful gift, which you could create yourself or buy.
