    Peacock Care Guide

    Build a Large Pen

If you do not want your peacocks for sale to fly away then you will need to build them a large pen. This pen should be at least 8 feet tall or more to make sure they can fly and fan their tails freely. Chicken wire is suitable for the walls and roof. If you are going to buy a male peacock for sale then you will need to make sure there is enough room for him to display his feathers fully.

If you do not give your peacocks the room they need then you will cause broken feathers and other injuries. If you decide to hatch peacocks then they will rarely stray far from where they were hatched.

    Provide Shelter for Your Peacocks

You will need to provide your peacocks with a wooden shelter such as a shed or barn. You should connect this to the main pen so that they can roost inside or nest if they need to. You might wish to consider putting a warming light in the shed and bed it with straw. You should provide perches to stand on so they can roost comfortably. You will need to make sure that the whole pen is secure so foxes and pests can’t get inside.

Peacock Care – Food and Water

You will need to use hanging food dishes. This is a good technique for keeping rodents out of the peacock food. It is important that you keep the water elevated or enclosed so that the peacock droppings can’t get into the water.

For food you will need to feed your peacocks for sale a mixture of chicken pellets and mixed grains. Providing them with fruits and vegetables is also good for them but you should avoid feeding them anything which has small bones.
